At Kingsbury Press we are committed to providing superior products, whilst minimising adverse impacts to the environment.

We care passionately about the environment and not only recognise but appreciate that our operations may have an impact on the environment locally and ultimately globally. We believe it is our obligation to do everything possible to minimise any negative impact by adhering to a strict and progressive environmental policy in everything we do: from material selection, right through to sustainable production methods as well as the reduction of waste and pollution in all aspects of our manufacturing process.

Whilst we are committed to continual improvement, outlined below are some of the substantial environmental policy commitments we have already enforced in the recent years above and beyond the standard government policies which every printing company is legally obliged to adhere to.

  • Always use vegetable based inks
  • Investment in an ‘ink line’ which reduces ink wastage.
  • Chemistry free reprographics (use latest thermal technology to process plates instead of chemical)
  • Investment in reverse osmosis enabling us to run with low alcohol levels at just 3% (10-20% is the accepted average)
  • All paper, card, plastic and metal is segregated, graded and recycled.
  • All paper FSC accredited (Kingsbury Press is committed to achieving the full FSC accreditation before 2010) unless specified by our clients.
  • Investment in software technology that vastly reduces paper wastage at ‘make-ready’ stage in the production process.
